Main Street Radford is a non-profit, private-public
partnership program of historic preservation and economic
development.
This is your opportunity to have an active role in
developing and promoting Radford's businesses to best
meet the needs of its citizens and visitors. Members
have a vote in electing the organization's officers
as well as determining Main Street's position on issues
affecting the district. Main Street Radford's success
is its diversity and the willingness of its members
to participate as leaders in our community.
Volunteer
The strength of our organization lies in our volunteers
and in our volunteer Board of Directors. We welcome
your participation on any of our five committees:

 |
Design – creates an attractive, coordinated
and quality image of Radford’s main business
district by capitalizing on its unique assets and
heritage. |

 |
Promotion – markets a unified, quality
image of Radford’s main business district
as the center of community activities, retail business
and services, housing, entertainment, and investment. |

 |
Membership & Development – recruits
and develops new MSR leadership by staying in touch
with the program’s supporters to meet their
needs, and mobilizing a large number of volunteers. |

 |
Economic Restructuring – develops and markets
a business recruitment and opportunities plan that
results in an improved retail mix, a stronger tax
base, increased investor confidence, and a stable
role for the main business district as a major component
of Radford’s economic health. |

 |
Farmer's Market – coordinates, promotes,
and oversees the management of the Radford Farmer’s
Market as a quality market. |

Our monthly Board of Directors meeting is the second
Thursday of every month from 8:00 - 9:30 am at the
Main Street Radford office – in the Chamber
of Commerce building.
